Multi-channel electrocardiographs.
What is an electrocardiograph?
An electrocardiograph records the heart's electrical activity across 12 leads. Multi-channel devices print several leads simultaneously and include automatic interpretation, which remains a diagnostic aid and not a diagnosis.

Where is it used?
The electrocardiograph equips cardiology departments, emergency departments, internal medicine and private practices. It is a heavily used device, often moved from room to room, which makes robustness and autonomy decisive. Automatic interpretation is an aid to reading, but the trace is still interpreted by a physician. The cost of thermal paper over time frequently exceeds the purchase price of the device: the format and availability of the consumable in Algeria should be checked before ordering.
What to check before choosing?
- Number of channels printed simultaneously: 3, 6 or 12
- Automatic interpretation and the algorithm used
- Print format and cost of the paper consumable
- Waveform export and connection to the patient record
